Life Purpose

Life purpose and whether we have one is an interesting debate. If we do have a purpose, then most people struggle to know what it is and can spend a lifetime looking for it.

Despite not really knowing, I feel instinctively that there are things I set out to do / experience in my lifetime, and that I agreed these at a soul level before I incarnated. To help make sense of the idea of life purpose, I would like to offer you the following thoughts.

What you might call life purpose, depends on the perspective at which you perceive it. What you understand at a souI level could look very different in day to day life. I would also like to differentiate between the ‘Purpose of Life’ and the ‘Agreements / Life Purpose’ we make before we incarnate.

Purpose of Life

At a soul level we are a fragment of Source energy and utterly connected to ‘The Creator’.

The purpose of life is simply to live and create. We are learning to choose love over hate; when we make someone happy through and act of joy, we make ourselves happy because we are all one. The process of realising this seems to be about becoming more and more aware of who we really are. Part of the quest for the freedom to simply live life as we choose is finding balance in all that we do

Agreements

I am comfortable that my identity as Charlie is just a small part of my soul’s experience. There are many other lives that my soul will be aware of – that by and large, I am not. The underlying reason I have incarnated is to experience particular aspects of life. The important experiences appear to be agreed before birth.

It is a bit like being part of an orchestra. Imagine deciding what music you want play, which instruments you want to use and choosing who else will play with you. Now imagine that other souls will invite you to play in their orchestra too. Finally, you might get to be the conductor and take responsibility for leading the orchestra.

In other words, our life agreements (which can be seen as our life purpose) could consist of:

  • Experiences we choose for our own growth
  • Agreements with other souls to give them experiences they require (and vice versa)
  • Possibly a larger role to do something for the national / international community

Through our Starfish Space retreats we want to help you broaden your perspective and get as much insight as you can on the agreements (purpose) you made before you incarnated. This will help you focus on what is important to you during these times of immense change.
