We are located between Bishop’s Castle and Montgomery both are small towns with a wealth of History and are popular with tourists. In both towns there is a range of accommodation which can be found through Google, Airbnb and Booking.com for example.

We provide a buffet to suit all tastes on Friday evening.
On Saturday evening, there are a range of local places to eat. These are the closest ones to Dingle Cottage. There are other pubs and restaurants further afield if you wish to travel. A quick Google search will bring these up. There is a decent sized Co-op in Churchstoke and smaller convenience stores in Bishops Castle and Montgomery.

Clun Castle

About 10 miles from Dingle Cottage lies the village of Clun and the remains of its’ mediaeval castle.
Corndon Hill
- Walking Trail
Sits across the Valley from Dingle Cottage and has several Iron Age Cairns at its summit. The views from the top are magnificent. Bring walking boots if you plan to go up.
Ffridd Faldwyn

An Iron Age hill fort a short walk away from Montgomery Castle. It is one of the largest hill forts in Wales. Walking boots recommended.
Mitchells Fold

A Bronze Age Stone Circle close to Cordon Hill. It is the focus of many legends and has small car parks allowing easy access.
Montgomery Castle

About 6 miles from Dingle Cottage is the charming town of Montgomery. The Castle sits above the town and is well worth a visit.
Offa’s Dyke

Offa’s Dyke was built in the 8th Century to separate Mercia from the Welsh lands. Dingle Cottage sits alongside the Dyke and can be explored in the fields behind the Cottage.
Powis Castle

A large National Trust property with links to Clive of India and the Herbert family. Close to Welshpool and has lovely gardens.
Roundton Hill

Sits below Cordon Hill and has an Iron Age fort at the summit. It is also a SSSI. There is small free car park at the base.
St John The Baptist Church

This is a delightful small church tucked away behind the hamlet of Mainstone. It is signposted as you drive into Mainstone. About 4 miles from Dingle Cottage.
